QA support for
different projects (China)

Mission

Mainly to provide QA support for different projects. In a given project, we participate from the business requirement phase, then in the next phase, developers start to work on code design, and we work on test case design. After coding is done and released to the staging environment, we perform tests and raise tickets if any are required.
Will make QA sign-off before releasing to production environment.

Rakuten was always on the top of the list of companies I wanted to join.
Finally, here comes the chance (position opened), which I meet the requirement of Rakuten. On the other hand, it perfectly fits my job career.

Reasons for joining Rakuten and good experiences at Rakuten

I am fully aware of the challenges from the very first day, but it is the challenges that make the work charming.
I am now able to perform operations (information checks, updates, investigations) on Hadoop, which was totally new to me at first.
I am able to create some automation scripts for back-end login and table inquires.
I become a member of the team with support from members across countries.

Challenges

I am a QA tester capable of English and Japanese as well as my native language, Mandarin.
I did not encounter any difficulty that can be defined as a challenge until I joined Rakuten.
From the point of view of both business and technical sides, it is definitely a challenge.
Luckily, when you are within a team of members who are intelligent and warm-hearted, you will know no issues can't be solved. And challenges will be a useful tool that pushes you to a new limit.

It has been 4 months since I joined Rakuten. And I have seen my growth at a satisfying pace.
We have been provided with opportunities of professional technical skills learning—website as well training and sharing within Rakuten.
With the help of all the valuable resources and the help from the team, I am able to become a member that delivers quality, extending my career and work scope.
